Couples therapy

Relationships are challenging.  They are also a perfect place to bring awareness to our thought patterns.  We are each constantly narrating to ourselves with thought.  This narration causes our experience of reality.  Our thinking and perceptions in close relationships often become a repetitive script limiting us from experiencing people in an open and loving way. Thus our loved ones are often the people with whom we feel the most intense negative emotions. By realizing that our experience is generated by the meaning we give to events, we can start to see that our thinking may not be accurate and may be the source of our pain.  This creates the invitation to find quiet and peace inside and thus show up in a fresh and curious way with persons we love.   It also helps us see clearly our options, eliminate made-up barriers to growth and notice when it is time to make a change.
